Hey all. The time has come for your host, that's me Spud, of Octothorpe fame, to begin scheduling the big Song Fight Live 2003 Festival in Seattle this Summmer, "Wet and Wild". Check back here for more information as it becomes available -SPUD OVERVIEW - Song Fight Wet & Wild will take place on Saturday, July 26th, starting at 8:00 in the evening, and will be a live show, with a real audience, real sound, real beer, etc., at Finn MacCool's Public House in Seattle. There will be a rehearsal the night before (time and location to be announced, but Friday evening), again with real beer, but no real audience. This is where you might want to get naked, if you must. The format of the live event will include a non-fight performance in which to introduce your band, several head-to-head fights using existing songfight (or meanwhile (I'm going to stop saying that since they've all been integrated into the songfight archive now anyway)) materials, a live debut performance of a brand new song fight title created just for the event, "Unless I Change My Mind", and a jam session (since some seemed unfamiliar with the concept last time, I will post more information on this feature later). To participate, you must have some existing fights behind you. If you are new, get cracking. REGISTER - Here's where you help me out by supplying all the important information about who you are, when you arriving, where you are staying, etc. ALCOHOL - There will be alcohol and this is a 21 and up show. However, if you are in the show, AND you contact me in advance, you will be permitted to come. So far I have Nick and Jarrett. That's it. LOCATION - Finn MacCool's Public House, 4217 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105. Practice location to be announced. SCHEDULE - Saturday, July 26th, 2003 8:00 PM with a practice the night before, and additional activities to be posted here. PARTICIPANTS - This is who is coming, or at least, who is hoping to come.
